Mokra Gora is a natural site in the south-west of Serbia, on the very border with Kosovo. The area is known for Serbian director Emir Kusturica, who built an ethnic village Drvengrad (Küstendorf) for the purpose of making a movie Life Is a Miracle. In Drvengrad, also known as Mećavnik, the most popular tourist activity is the so-called Šargan Eight (Šarganska Osmica). It is a railway museum-tourist complex with a narrow-gauge railway. And it still operates – but only as a tourist attraction.
