AlUla is a city in the region of Medina, which was founded around the 6th century BC. The ruins of the old city are considered a great example of northern Arab architecture. Also, this city is a gateway for Madain Saleh, the Saudi version of Petra included on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list. AlUla is located in a valley covered with palm groves, in a water-rich oasis. Visitors to this city spend several days exploring all the sights this area has to offer.
