Mount Liamuiga is a stratovolcano and the highest peak in the country, also in this part of the Caribbean. The top of Mount Liamuiga measures 1156 meters above sea level. At the top, there is a crater containing a small crater lake. Tours to the top of the volcano are popular among tourists, from where you can see several neighboring islands, the beautiful Caribbean Sea, and the mighty Atlantic. The road to the top leads past the plantations, and from 500 meters above sea level upwards, through a beautiful tropical rainforest. Above 900 meters, the rainforest is replaced by a cloud forest. Visitors bring wonderful impressions from the top of Mount Liamuig, as well as many photos.
