Kadisha Valley is a jewel of Lebanese nature and history located about 50 northeast of Beirut. In the valley, there is evidence of early Christian monastic settlements, individual dwellings in caves that are difficult to reach. The nature of the valley is endangered by wild construction and insufficient conservation efforts, but the beautiful scenes you can see here are worth a visit. Here are the Qannubin Monastery, the Monastery of St Anthony of Qozhaya, the Monastery of Our Lady of Hawqa, the Monastery of Mar Sarkis, and many others. The Quannubin Monastery is recommended to visit, but you won't make a mistake if you visit any of them.
