When you look at the Kuwait city skyline, one building stands out for its height and shape. It is a telecommunications tower called Liberation Tower. Although it is 372 meters high, this is the second tallest building in the country and is somewhat reminiscent of the scenography of the Science Fiction film. Construction began in August 1990, before the invasion of Iraq. After the expulsion of the Iraqi army from the country, construction continued, and the tower was completed in 1993. It was then named the Liberation Tower, as part of the liberation from occupation.
