Lake Balkhash
Lake Balkhash is one of the largest lakes in Asia, 15th in size in the world. However, this is the current situation because the amount of water in the lake is decreasing due to the diversion of water from the rivers that feed the lake for agricultural needs. The lake is divided into two parts: the eastern one, which contains saltwater, and the western part of the lake, which contains almost freshwater. There are beaches in the city of Balkhash where you can swim, although visitors rated it as the most beautiful beaches outside the city.
