Bijilo National Park

Bijilo National Park is located northwest of the city of Bijilo, on the Atlantic coast. This park is often called Monkey Park due to Campbell’s mona monkey, green monkeys, patas monkeys, and Temminck’s red colobus monkeys. Also, on its area of 51 hectares, it is possible to see monitor lizards, mongooses, brush-tailed porcupines, Gambian sun squirrel, African civet, and over 100 species of birds. Even though the employees in the park will offer you to buy peanuts and similar products, visitors should refrain from feeding the animals because there are problems with their health.
