Simien Mountains National Park

One of the first areas protected by UNESCO in Ethiopia is the Simien Mountains National Park. The park is located in the northern part of the country and includes the highest mountain peak in Ethiopia Ras Dashan, elevated 4550 meters above sea level. The scenes you can see here are unforgettable. Erosion has created a unique relief, which in combination with flora and fauna creates a magnificent view. Many species of flora and fauna can be found in the park, some of which are endangered. The only place you can see Walia ibex, a rare chamois, is this park.
