Khama Rhino Sanctuary

Poaching has lower the number of rhinoceros to the point of extinction. In the year 1992, communities near Serowe started an ambitious plan to help preserve black and white rhinos in their natural habitat and help them breed in nature. This program started with 4 adults, and so far 16 rhinoceros individuals as a product of this program are relocated to other areas from Khama Rhino Sanctuary.
