Numerous islets and cays with beautiful sandy beaches, coral reefs and usual sighting of dolphins, parrots, flamingos, scarlet ibis, marine turtles, marine caymans and many other made Morrocoy National Park one of the most visited areas in Venezuela. It was declared a national park back in 1976.
