Mafia Island
Mafia Island is a calm, beautiful Island and not a regular touristic island, but its recommended for divers snorkelers for coral gardens, an amazing variety of fish, must-see whale sharks and many more. This picturesque place is known as a breeding site for the endangered green turtle. The name "Mafia" derives from the Arabic morfiyeh, meaning "group" or "archipelago", or from the Swahili mahali pa afya, meaning "a healthy dwelling-place".
