La Soufrière

La Soufrière is an active volcano and, at the same time, the highest peak of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines with a height of 1234 meters above sea level. The volcano is located in the northern part of the island, and in the recorded history, it had several eruptions, and the last one happened in 1979. There are several trails to the top of La Soufrière, and they all have challenging sections. The biggest problem is the high soil moisture near the top, which makes the trails slippery. Wear good hiking shoes, bring plenty of water and snacks.
