Škocjan Caves

Since 1986 Škocjan Caves are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It represents one of the largest known underground canyons in the world, therefore the most significant underground phenomena in Slovenia. The area has great cultural and historical significance as it has been inhabited since the prehistoric times.
