Golubac fortress

Golubac is a monumental medieval fortress placed on the right bank of the Danube, which is located in the National Park Đerdap in the east of Serbia. After its striking history, nowadays Golubac fortress is one of the most photographed sites for its amazing scenery and surroundings. The famous Iron Gate is a natural and formal border between Serbia and Romania.
