Murals of Orgosolo

In the very heart of the island lies Orgosolo, a village which became popular for its murals - about 150 of them! The Orgosolo murals emerged in the late 60s as a form of protest during the economic crisis. During the time it became a unique local cultural feature and now, almost 60 years later Murals of Orgosolo it's considered a heritage with the idea of conservation.
