Volgograd

Previously known as Stalingrad, Volgograd saw one of the bloodiest battles of all human history during the Second World War. Known as the "Hero City", it is home to The Motherland Calls - Mamayev Kurgan, an 85-meter breathtaking statue of a furious Mother Russia wielding a sword, statue dedicated to the heroes of the battle.
