Peneda-Gerês National Park

The Peneda-Gerês National Park is the only national park in Portugal. Education, protection, and tourism are also goals of the park. The park is a vast amphitheater-shaped space with large diversity of flora and fauna. Camping is allowed in some parts of the park and some natural pools are swimming-friendly during the warmer months.
