Evora

Evora was once an important trading town and religious center. The well-preserved old town center is still partially enclosed by medieval walls and a Roman Temple, great city landmark. Evora was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Another highlight is the 13th-century Cathedral of Evora, one of the most important Gothic structures in Portugal.
