Magellans’ Cross

First things first, wander around the city and visit the famous historical and religious structureㅡ the Magellan’s Cross. The Christian cross was erected by Spanish and Portuguese explorers during the 15th century. The renowned site is situated next to the Basilica Minore del Sto Niño de Cebu, a minor basilica that houses the oldest relic in the Philippinesㅡ the Sto. Niño. The feast of Sto. Niño or widely known as Sinulog is the grandest festival in Cebu, which is celebrated every third Sunday of January.
