San Bernardino
San Bernardino is a town located about 20 kilometers east of the center of Paraguay's capital, Asunción. San Bernardino is the most popular resort among the residents of the wider Asunción area, as it lies on the shores of Lake Ypacaraí. Among the locals, San Ber, as they call it, has created a reputation as a resort for the well-to-do and is known for its nightclubs, bars, and restaurants. Despite their reputation, tourists also report favorable prices. It just takes a little research. Swimming in the lake is not recommended, because the water is not clean enough.
