Palacio de López is a magnificent building in the center of Paraguay's capital, Asuncion. It was built in 1867 at the request of Carlos Antonio López for the needs of his son, General Francisco Solano López. Nowadays this building serves as the residence of the President of Paraguay and the seat of government of this country. The building material is brought from all over Paraguay, and the architect who is responsible for this building is Alonso Taylor from England.
