Kalahari Desert

The Kalahari Desert is a large plain of the interior plateau that occupies much of Botswana, parts of Namibia, and parts of South Africa. Occupying 2.5 million square meters of Namibia, this sandy savannah is home to the most interesting people and wild animals, as well as a natural phenomenon that can be seen only here. Kalahari, meaning "the great thirst" was an inspiration to a large number of adventure expeditions, books, and movies throughout centuries.
