Sukhbaatar Square

Sukhbaatar Square is located in Ulaanbaatar, the capital and largest city of Mongolia. It was named after Damdin Sükhbaatar, a hero of the revolution who declared the independence of Mongolia from China in 1921. Authorities changed the name of the square to Chinggis Khaan square in 2016 but returned the old name after a lawsuit. The square is dominated by bronze old horsemen. There is a board with all the names that the city has borne in its history, as well as a pavilion with temporary exhibitions, which show this wonderful country from various aspects. The square is a favorite gathering place for various festivities, holidays, but also daily walks, children's play is a normal occurrence here.
