Gorkhi Terelj National Park
Gorkhi Terelj National Park is located 55 kilometers northeast of Ulaanbaatar and is one of the most picturesque and popular national parks in Mongolia. Here you can ride horses, go rafting, swim in ice-cold water, trek, walk, rock climb, and in the winter, go skiing or ride dog sleds. Since the park is quite popular, be prepared for the crowds in the camp from which you will easily escape by going to the north, deeper into the park, and if you are visiting in late summer, also for the mosquitoes from which you will not escape.
