Gobi Desert occupies the southern and southeastern parts of Mongolia. Although it is considered one of the most inhospitable places on the planet, many travelers express interest in the adventure that the Gobi offers. In this large area, in addition to colossal dunes and frozen canyons, you can find parts of the Great Wall of China, fossils of mammoths and other extinct animal species, traces of cities that stood in the way of silk, rock art, nomads, and much more. A pile of sand? Not really!
