Sipadan Island is located in the far east of the country, in the Celebes sea. This coral island is home to the Sipadan Diving Reserve and the best place for diving in Malaysia. This island is one of the three leading diving destinations in the world, along with the Galapagos and Truk Island. Although a small island, many visitors come here to enjoy the coral reefs that are home to more than 400 species of fish, hundreds of species of coral, green and hawksbill sea turtles, which mate and nest on this island. There are also scalloped hammerhead sharks, whale sharks, several species of rye, and countless other species of marine animals.
