Ponta de São Lourenço

Wonderful area with beautiful views at eastern side of the Madeira island. Ponta de São Lourenço is a great place for a half day walking trip, it takes 3 hours both ways. Do not forget sunscreen, wind jacket and at least 1 liter of water per person (at the end of the way is a small bar). If you want to go from Funchal a bus runs every hour.
