Pak Ou Caves
Pak Ou Caves are positioned at the confluence of the Ou River and the Mekong River. The site consists of two natural caves and stairs to them. In the caves, there are statues of Buddha, of various sizes, materials, and ages. It is believed that bringing a statue of Buddha to the caves brings good luck. So, in time, about 2,500 Buddha statues were placed here, although most of them are the size of a palm. The access to the caves is about 200 steps high, so be prepared for the climb.
