Baikonur Cosmodrome

Baikonur Cosmodrome is the oldest and largest cosmodrome in the world. It is located in the extreme south of Kazakhstan but was never mapped until the collapse of the Soviet Union. Currently, the spaceport is leased to the Russian Federation, and the visit is possible only with the appropriate permission. All important Soviet space missions were launched from this place: the first artificial satellite launched into Earth orbit Sputnik, the first human flight into space Voskhod. In the museum, you can see the settings related to these and other missions.
