Blue Mountains National Park
The eastern part of the island is dominated by the Blue Mountains National Park, which is home to the longest mountain range on the island, and the highest mountain peak, the Blue Mountains Peak (2256 meters). The almost untouched nature is the result of difficult access to vehicles, so consider renting a 4WD. It is especially popular to welcome the sunrise at the top, from which you can see both the north and south coasts.
