Palatine Hill

One of the seven hills of Rome, Palatine is the most famous of them, allegedly the place where a mother of Rome she-wolf found Romulus and Remus and birthplace of the emperor Augustus. It is considered to be the first inhabited area in Rome. Nowadays Palatine Hill is an extensive archaeological site and a home of the Palace of Domitian, Temple of Cybele, Temple of Apollo Palatinus and many more.
