Caesarea National Park is a coastal complex of ruins from the time of Herod the Great, built around 22 BC on the Mediterranean coast. This port city used to be in the rank of Alexandria and Carthage. In addition to the fact that the port of Caesarea was in an attractive place and many conquerors tried to keep it in function, already in the 14th-century dunes covered a good part of the city. The archeological complex includes the Roman Amphitheater, the Aqueduct, the temple dedicated to Mithras. Modern facilities are there to give you enjoyment. Restaurants and cafes will be at your service.
