Baha'i Gardens

The Baha'i Gardens are placed on Mount Carmel above the Mediterranean city of Haifa. This is a series of 19 terraces on a steep slope that have been turned into beautiful gardens, interconnected by stairs. The Baha'i Gardens are often called the Hanging Gardens of Haifa, comparing them to one of the Ancient Seven Wonders of the World, the famous Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Landscaping and planting began in 1987, and the public gained access in 2001. When visiting, make sure you are covered from shoulder to knee, no matter what gender you are.
