Cologne Cathedral or Kölner Dom is located on the banks of the Rhine and is undoubtedly Cologne's most impressive landmark. Construction began in the mid 13th century, lasted - with interruptions - for almost 600 years and is one of the largest cathedrals in Europe, with both amazing interior and exterior.
