Loma El Panecillo
Loma El Panecillo or Bagel Hill is a formation located in the western part of the capital of Ecuador - Quito. At the top of the hill, there is a 41-meter-high statue representing the Virgin of El Panecillo - Loma El Panecillo. The Spanish artist Agustín de la Herrán Matorras in 1976 made a replica of the Virgin sculpture made by Bernardo de Legarda in the 18th century. Virgin still guards the city and attracts many visitors as its most popular landmark.
