Pico Duarte

Pico Duarte is the highest peak in the Dominican Republic, and all the Caribbean islands. 3,098 meters high, this is a popular destination for nature lovers, hikers, and climbers. A few freshwater springs labeled "potable" are along the trail. Stunning vegetation is home to many animal species, and several endangered bird species as well.
