Sakarun beach
Some of the best beaches in Zadar are located on one of its islands, called Dugi Otok island. Sakarun is one of the most famous beaches in Zadar County, located on the northwest coast of the island. The whiteness of the sand and clean sea, surrounded by pine trees creates a true pleasure for the visitors. It is about 800 meters long, and at some 250 meters from the shore, it is 3.5 meters deep, which means that the bathing area is extremely large and shallow, making it suitable even for young children. For those who prefer beaches with fewer people, they can take a boat ride to some of the secluded beaches in the area, and enjoy their privacy.
