The Forbidden City

The Forbidden City is a palace complex in central Beijing and is also known as the Imperial Palace. This complex was declared a World Heritage Site featuring the largest collection of preserved ancient wooden structures in the world and was used as an imperial palace from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty.
