Perperikon

Perperikon is the ancient Thracian city situated in the south of Bulgaria. Often called the “European Machu Picchu”, Perpericon is considered to be the largest megalithic archeological site in the Balkans. When excavations started in the year 2000, the biggest discovery was a big altar. This altar is the place where Tracians practiced their fire rituals.
