Christ the Redeemer
Christ the Redeemer is a statue of Jesus Christ located in the Brazilian capital, Rio de Janeiro. Listed as one of the new 7 wonders of the world, the statue is 30 meters high and weighs 635 metric tons. The statue is constructed on top of the Corcovado mountain and overlooks the city of Rio de Janeiro. A symbol of Christianity, the statue is visited by a large number of tourists from all over the world.
