Lagoa do Fogo

One of the largest bodies of water in the Azores, Lagoa do Fogo, located on the island of São Miguel, is a crater lake protected by the government. The construction around the lake is not permitted, allowing the visitors to enjoy untouched nature, rich biodiversity, charming beaches and some of the endemic plant species.
