Katavi Parque Nacional is a very remote park that is less frequently visited than other Tanzanian national parks. The dry season brings the park to life, hosting groups of hippos, buffaloes, antelopes, crocodiles, zebras, giraffes... and a vast amount of bird species living in the undisturbed nature. The park encompasses the Katuma Río and the seasonal Lago Katavi and Lago Chada.
