Catedral of St. Elizabeth
The largest church in Slovakia, St. Elizabeth Catedral is located in Košice, a city on the east of Slovakia. The cathedral was built on the place of the old church of St. Michael. For almost 130 years, the cathedral was built by German colonists throughout five construction stages and had two major reconstructions. Košice is a picturesque city well known for the highest concentration of historical monuments in Slovakia. Close to St Elizabeth Catedral is the neo-baroque State Theatre, but make sure to visit city museums as well.
